A bloody battle: Health NZ threatens to take baby into custody over parents' wish for baby to receive unvaccinated blood during surgery
If only someone could start a safe blood donation network...
The parents of a four-month-old boy who requires life-saving heart surgery are fighting to retain custody of their child after NZ Health moved to gain temporary guardianship of the boy, reports the NZ Herald.
The parents want the surgery to go ahead, but have requested that their child receive unvaccinated blood only. They have over 30 unvaccinated donors lined up, but the doctors refuse to cooperate, insisting that the baby receive blood from NZ Blood Service, which does not separate out Covid vaccinated and unvaccinated blood.
NZ Health has accused the parents of preventing their child from receiving necessary care, and is now threatening to take the baby into state custody. They then plan to override the wishes of the child’s parents and proceed with the surgery using blood from NZ Blood Service.
About that. NZ Blood Service allows donors to give blood within a day of receiving their Covid vaccine.
NZ Blood Service says that, “there is no evidence that previous vaccination affects the quality of blood for transfusion,” and that, “any COVID-19 vaccine in the blood is broken down soon after the injection.”
The ring-in Subject Matter Expert confirms that there is no risk to receiving a transfusion with blood from a Covid vaccinated donor.
Gee, this sounds an awful lot like the time The Experts said there was “no evidence” that Covid vaccines cause menstrual problems. Gotcha! There was no evidence because there were no studies!
I’ve noted many a time that absence of evidence is not the same thing as evidence of absence. This kind of chicanery really grinds my gears. How many RCTs have been conducted to test blood transfusions of vaccinated blood vs. unvaccinated blood in adults, adolescents and babies? If any exist, NZ Blood Service does not reference them.
The Experts have been consistently wrong on almost everything to do with Covid vaccines. They average 12-24 months behind the science, and that’s just the ones who are catching up. Some are still science-denying in the name of Science™️ forever and ever amen, as their religion of Scientism demands.
There are now numerous observational studies showing blood anomalies and contamination with unknown elements in the vaccinated.1 Parents who wish to avoid signing their children up for experimental transfusions while there is still a paucity of research are the sane and responsible parties here.
In this case, the obstruction of the parents’ wish for their baby to receive unvaccinated blood is arbitrary, and almost certainly protocol-driven. There is no barrier except “because we say so.” If the baby dies (and he may, this surgery is urgent), it will be on the heads of the curmudgeonly, arrogant Experts and Bureaucrats who are preventing his surgery from going ahead.
It’s an impossible position for the parents.
This isn’t the first family to face such a situation. An Italian couple refused a vaccinated blood transfusion for their child, and a woman, also Italian, refused a transfusion for her 92-year-old father (he was able to eventually receive unvaccinated blood). A Swiss woman was refused the opportunity to donate her own unvaccinated blood prior to her operation. A baby died earlier this year after immediately developing blood clots following a transfusion (of mixed/vaccinated blood) without his parents’ consent. There have also been umpteen news reports over the last year of patients requesting unvaccinated blood prior to surgeries.
Enter, Safe Blood Donation.
Safe Blood Donation (SBD) is an international not-for-profit founded by Swiss naturopath George Della Pietra in response to the mass mRNA vaccination campaign. The SBD model matches Covid unvaccinated blood donors with recipients, with the transfer being co-ordinated by a medical partner in their region. The donor database is underway, but the donations and administration of blood have not yet commenced. SBD is working towards tackling the legal blockades and infrastructure challenges that currently stand in the way of blood donor choice.
The SBD network spans over 60 countries so far. It looks like this project is going to take some time to get off the ground (apparently Texas and some African countries are close already due to workable existing legislation/rules), but it’s worth checking out now. The FAQs offer advice on how to deal with the issue of blood transfusions at present.

Thank you so much for writing about this and linking to the safeblood organization. I have a keen desire to be part of a safe blood operation such as this one, because I believe that in the months and years to come, safe blood (and safe organ donations) will be seen as the precious substance that it is. I have donated many gallons of blood and plasma over the years but stopped in 2021 because I no longer trusted any mainstream medical personnel to stick needles into me, especially when the blood donor orgs like the Red Cross have demonstrated their untrustworthiness by maintaining there is no difference between jabbed and unjabbed blood. Thank you so much!
Bureaucratic self protection is not new. In the 1980s US, the AIDS panic raised fears of blood, and the authorities initially said, "Don't worry, it's perfectly safe. Dont criticize those nice homosexuals." They eventually figured it out and developed tests to remove contaminated blood supplies. The same will happen here.
