I don't recall any opposition the the "Opposition" last year.
Certainly none now.
The gleeful enthusiasm exhibited by Penny Wong in signing over our health rights to the WHO is another victory for collectivism/ authoritarianism against individual freedom.
Another brilliant piece by you Rebekah. It is an art to take the complex, summarize it and make it understandable for the ordinary citizen, such as myself. Thank you for your time and dedication.🙏💐👑
How do we charge up our PM and Federal Govt. to find the courage, the integrity, to stand up for Australians? Is it merely lack of courage or are there financial reasons that motivate our leaders to abandon integrity? I wish I knew. Anyone else got the answer?
I don't think they care. And they want to be seen to do the right thing. And they aren't great thinkers (great thinkers don't generally go into career politics these days do they?). And for sure there are probably complex commercial arrangements whatwith all the public-private partnership agreements in train.
30.1. "At any time after two years from the date on which the WHO Pandemic Agreement has entered into force for a Party, that Party may withdraw from this Agreement by giving written notification to the Depository."
30.2. "Any such withdrawal shall take effect upon expiry of one year from the date of receipt by the Depositary of the notification of withdrawal, or on such later date as may be specified in the notification of withdrawal."
So a country can withdraw, however you'd need a government that's willing to do that. Obviously not relevant in Australia, where both major parties are all in on the WHO reforms. But if you had a future government willing to withdraw, it could be done.
I think that our main leverage here is financing. We need to be asking our treasury and health departments to itemise, audit and justify the sending of public money to overseas NGOs, such as the WHO. These funds belong to taxpayers, not to our ministers and not to Swiss expense accounts. We need to be asking for a detailed business plan to show how this benefits the Australians who paid for it. I think everyone, regardless of ideology, would like to know where their money is going?
Where are the Liberals/Nationals on this.

Marxism at work.
All on board to the best of my knowledge.

Hi Rebekah, is it true that a ‘sovereignty clause’ was added that allows a country to invoke it to opt out entirely?
Good question. Article 30 addresses withdrawal.

Sure, but they won’t…
hmmm, I was wondering at the new bilboards and radio adds for vaccination recently here in Perth
Any relation? cos the timing is eerily coincidental.
That's the $5 million or so winter vax campaign. 'Don't assume you're immune!'

aha, there you have it. Thanks.
I purposely don't read the West, cos it induces irrational swearing in inappropriate places.
Wise choice.
