A nice (and illustrative) round-up of the wrap for '24. Oh what a tangled web they've woven ! Perhaps a combination of holiday contemplation and the naked revelations you've reported will deliver some political sanity across the incredulous layers of 'beaurocraziness' in '25.
And for the rest of us to contemplate:
To quote Bob Moran - UK cartoonist " . . and this is a key point that's been lost across all of this, is the more responsibility you take the more freedom you have. People have been told the opposite - abandon your responsibilities, give them all to the state, and they'll give you back Freedom. That's not how it works. The more responsibility you can take the more free you will be . . "
Looking forward to your insightful return, but have a well deserved sabbatical. /\
Thanks for all your terrific work throughout 2024, Rebekah. Always well-researched and well-written. All the best for the New Year, which we hope will involve some sensible changes of direction, both nationally and internationally.
A Fellowship with the Brownstone Institute! Wow - that is fantastic and well deserved Rebekah!
Well done- applause and bouquets for you!
Hoping your well deserved break is peace-filled and Santa brings you much love and hope for the New Year. Husband and I are so very grateful we came to stumble across your much valued substack. Thank you for all your extraordinary work bringing truth to light. Happy Christmas and New Year. Here's hoping 2025 heralds in contagions of bravery, honesty and ethics amongst our adversaries!
AHPRA had been "less than profoundly unsatisfactory".:):):)
Well, I suppose I should not be surprised that a member of the judiciary should produce such gibberish, having been appalled by the summaries (products, supposedly, of hours of deliberation and word selection/arrangement) of so many judges over the years. They are clearly neither logicians nor wordsmiths.
Are we to assume that 'less than profoundly' means something like 'somewhat' in this context? If so it is hardly a verbal thrashing.:)
I am reminded of the pronouncement of the man presiding over the Bruce Lehrman DEFAMATION case (not RAPE trial) that he thought there was a greater than 50 % chance Brucey boy had penetrated Brittany girl whilst she was unconscious, further defaming Bruce in the process.:) All ludicrously unprofessional stuff.
No wonder Bruce is appealing.
I am also reminded of the George Pell case. No wonder he appealed - both the verdict and the failure of the state panel of judges to uphold his appeal.
All of this stops short of any consideration of the moral fibre of either man, of course. That is quite another issue.
The 'ju$tice' $y$tem really is a shambolic and I feel sorry for anyone who gets drawn into it.
Congratulations on The Brownstone Fellowship Rebekah, I can't think of anyone more deserving of it. You have been very responsible and dedicated so I know this is time for some freedom for you. Happy Holydays. May 2025 bring you and your loved ones health, peace and joy. Thank you for doing what you have been gifted, your writing ability, with all your courage and effort. I pray that humanity will become more conscious of it's collective responsibility to each other. Namaste'🙏
Thank you for all your excellent work this year Rebekah.
Enjoy your "Well Deserved Break" and have a happy Christmas and New Year.
Thanks Gareth! And you too.

Well, in legal-speak it is a verbal thrashing…
