Your use of the term concentration camp is accurate. Concentration camps aren’t only for political prisoners. They were invented for military purposes during the Boer War; it had nothing to do with politics. Likewise, very few of the Nazis’ concentration-camp inmates were involved in politics beforehand. The reason for internment doesn’t define the facility and your use of this term for the detention camps built across the country and “medi-hotels” in South Australia is justified.

I think you are incorrect regarding there being few political prisoners in nazi camps. Communists were targeted for internment.

The quarantine facilities were about rules not health - happened here in NZ too with people abused and berated in those facilities who were there because they were healthy after all (otherwise they wouldn't have been able to board a plane). Everything was about rules but why at any time couldn't people be provided advice and recommendations? Why blanket rules with incredible costs to society.
