Gotta love how, at least in a few too-fleeting months leading up to an election, a few MP's in NZ suddenly remember who they should be working for and representing.

Peters is an absolute master at such line-straddling and political shape-shifting. The ultimate political survivalist.

It is a start by NZ. Hopefully, they will step out of the WHO permanently.

We can but hope. It does beg the question though as to how far we could go before our overlords decide to rein us back into the herd. If we gave them all the middle finger, cleaned out NZ governance, explicitly legislated to expose and remove external influences and made both personal and national sovereignty a guiding and inalienable principle, how long before the usual suspects are lining up to "spread democracy" in NZ? They'll make an example out of us and pull every destabilising lever possible until we are begging to be back in the "rules based order".

In the year 2018BC (Before Covid) I would have thought we had more than a snowballs chance in Hell of making it on our own but having observed closely the behaviours of too many of my fellow countrymen and women here in NZ over the last five years, I don't think we'd last 2 years, if that.

A strong third party like the now-defunct Australian Democrats is the first step. Don Chipp had it nailed: to keep the bastards honest.

I think that's what ON have always been trying to do. Whatever one might think of their policies (I happen to agree with most), Malcolm Roberts certainly tries to keep the government and bureaucrats at Senate Estimates accountable.

Yep. Voted for ON last election cycle. The shite that’s been thrown at her over the years is starting to slide off. She’s no racist, she’s a patriot and has the guts for the fight. Respect.

We have a government in Australia that sleep walks through everything. Even when it’s taking a stand it’s less principled sovereignty and more timid middle manager waiting to see which way the wind is blowing in Washington, London or Davos. Whatever we do, we do it with the same drowsy, outsourced thinking.

TALK IS CHEAP-----If they were told what to do they would crumble like a pack of cards and screw the public again and again!

…”our government is determinedly sleepwalking into a surveillance and control state and is in, boots and all”…the Albanese government knows exactly what they’re doing. They are all in on enslaving Australian citizens.
