Excuse my cynicism, but having witnessed 4 years of worldwide enmeshment between governments, every bureaucracy, all mainstream media, all levels of court, and all academia (with very infrequent but notable exceptions), I am not yet celebrating the deep concern being shown by the HRC for Covid's victims.

I absolutely expect any finding will be fully in favour of what was imposed on us.

Sadly, I think you’re right Gareth. The official position, which saw two state premiers awarded honours for addressing, will be that the dire emergency of Covid allowed people’s rights to be flagrantly overridden. 😡😡

I don't disagree with you Gareth. I have rather a dogged attitude towards these kinds of consultations. I generally submit something because I think it's better to put dissent on record than to remain silent, but I don't expect anyone to actually do anything beneficial or hope for some kind of restitution.

Agreed, and I often do the same.

Gareth, Edward Santow was the Australian Human Rights Commissioner from August 2016 to 28 July 2021, i.e. he was the Human Rights Commissioner at the height of the Covid debacle.

According to his bio*, Edward Santow is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Human Rights and the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Does Santow’s association with the WEF explain why the Australian Human Rights Commission failed utterly to protect the personal autonomy and bodily integrity of the Australian population while they were being coerced and mandated to submit to the Covid injections? How many other WEF-associated people are colonising our institutions and parliaments? More than a few I suspect… This must be investigated.

I’ve contacted the Human Rights Commission in previous years challenging mandatory vaccination policy…they are worse than useless.

Really taps into the question of who's ultimately running the show. Certainly not our current crop of politicians!

It seems there’s been a coup Gareth, in this country and many others around the world.

And ‘our elected representatives’ are carrying out the orders of who exactly?

They’re in public office, we thought to serve us, but instead they are enacting policies which are damaging us, e.g. enslaving us with enormous debt without our consent, and mandating medical interventions under penalty of lost livelihood and participation in society for many of those who refused to submit.

Are these ‘public officers’, who it seems are working against the best interest of the public, guilty of misfeasance in public office? Or worse?

See for example this article: Misfeasance in Public Office: A Very Peculiar Tort:

https://law.unimelb.edu.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0006/1703517/35_1_1.pdf

I’ve cited it in my detailed article: Misfeasance in Public Office? The Destruction of Voluntary Informed Consent for Vaccination:

Here it is, straight from the Australian Government, in a letter to my colleague Emma McArthur dated 21 December 2021: "I can advise that informed consent should be obtained for every COVID-19 vaccination, as per usual consent procedures for other vaccinations." https://humanityattheprecipice.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/doh-reply-21-12-2021.pdf

Here it is again, in a letter to me, Elizabeth Hart, from the Australian Government, in a letter dated 17 November 2022: "Informed consent should be obtained for every COVID-19 vaccination, as per usual consent procedures for other vaccinations." https://vaccinationispolitical.net/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/mc22-018819-signed-highlighted-1.pdf

And again, in a letter to me, Elizabeth Hart, from AHPRA, in a letter dated 20 September 2021: "Practitioners have an obligation to obtain informed consent for treatment, including vaccination. Informed consent is a person’s voluntary decision about health care that is made with knowledge and understanding of the benefits and risks involved." https://vaccinationispolitical.net/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/response-from-ahpra-re-informed-consent.pdf

Oh, and here it is again in a letter to me from AHPRA...in a letter dated 5 October 2017! "Good medical practice: A code of conduct for doctors in Australia provides guidance to medical practitioners. Informed consent is a key element of good medical practice. A medical practitioner must obtain informed consent before undertaking an examination or providing treatment, including providing vaccines." https://vaccinationispolitical.net/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/ahpra-response-october-2017-1.pdf

And here again many times, in my detailed article - Misfeasance in Public Office? The Destruction of Voluntary Informed Consent for Vaccination: https://vaccinationispolitical.net/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/misfeasance-in-public-office-the-destruction-of-voluntary-informed-consent-for-vaccination.pdf

Informed consent must be obtained for vaccination - it can't be obtained under coercion and mandates!

Clear, unambiguous advice that informed consent should be obtained for vaccination, that I have shared with others many times, including on substack articles such as these, and yet there appears to be little or no interest!!!

It's bizarre!

Thank you for sharing this, Rebekah, and for summarising the egregious human rights violations perpetrated in the name of covid. What was done to us was, and remains, unforgivable.

I recall many conversations where people shared their reasons for vaccination and only one or two where the response had anything remotely to do with covid specifically. I agree wholeheartedly that the right to decline medical intervention is a non-derogable right, as would any reasonable person if the intervention was something THEY did not want - even hardcore pro-vaxxers and mandate cheerleaders.

Me too, I know far fewer people who got vaccinated for health reasons than for economic or social reasons.

Damn the Australian UniParty to Hel. I refused the last human bait. I will refuse the next. I do not consent. Anyone attempting to inject me will lose their hand.

What these abuses showed was that most people were too weak in the mind to:

So no, which is hard, but:

Fight for your right, legally or physically, to say no, which is far harder.

Aussies used to be known for our take no shit attitude, Covid showed that trait is now a historical artifact.

Hows that old saying go? The only thing to fear, is fear itself.

Well I went ahead and wrote a submission and sent it off to them.

I suspect my observations and experience of human rights abuse is not what they were quite expecting.

If you want I can forward it to you, but not sure whether I can post a pdf here, or email it?

Few leaders knew exactly what to do but allowed bureaucrats to rule producing miserable results as they used that power indiscriminately & still failed to prevent covid from spreading There were no guidelines for handling this pandemic Essential rules should be in place to cover further instances Govts should have a basic pattern to cope with any other pandemics
