I remember thinking 20 years ago when news became widely available on the net “how cool is this I don’t have to pay for news”...only to find out the real price much later.

except for DDU and a handful of others we know to trust now in these most uncertain times, and we can say the traditional Fourth Estate is dead

that once virtuous and honourable Estate that sought Truth at all costs, to share ungarnished to The People

describing oneself as: 'I'm a journalist' .. makes one ask internally now: 'Did you say prostitute?'

.. and I mean no offence to the latter profession who are a damn sight more honest

Hi Rebekah

We use to be worried when the big corporations infiltrated the media, because they owned it, now the Govt manipulates it and pays the media our tax money to do their dirty work.

By the way have you seen this vid by Archbishop Carlo Viganò?

If you could do a post of it would be great!

It is one of the most succinct summaries of the issues facing the world that I have seen- and from a Catholic Archbishop!

The transcript is best, as his accent is a bit strong, but what he says can't be faulted, either physically or spiritually, and I am certainly no Catholic.
