I trawled thru the Bill over 2 days....the most dangerous bit of legislation in Australian history I say...we must all write to & call these independents & praise & thank them hugely ...keep up the pressure, we are not out of the woods yet! Great work Rebekah!

Thank you for your work Rebekah, as well as the other Substackers, IPA, Spectator magazine, Avi Yemeni and other outlets who led the resistance.

I’m so intrigued to know who came after “and”… 😝

How about Gerard Rennick, Alex Antic, Outsiders on Sky News for a start.

And of course Jo Nova, who's not actually a Substacker.

Thank you for the good news Rebekah, onward and upward. Greens you are on my to-do list, priority 1. Was once a Green but would not consider going with any party who does not oppose the loss of human rights we suffered and still suffer. Heart Party, once known as Informed Medical Options, stole my heart.

Lidia Thorpe's vote is the most important, being such a sage, and commanding the high level of collegiate respect, she does.

I wonder if she’ll stage a protest. I wouldn’t mind it.

Dont be fooled by Lambie! She wants a stronger MAD Bill!!!

It ain’t over by a long shot...

Lambie claims it’s "not tough enough"... "Not taking it seriously"... She'd rack it up a few notches, not repeal it altogether. Lambie is a little tyrant in the making! Im told she voted for full term abortion and we know she cheered on the mandates and discriminatory practices during lockdowns.

I lament that Rex Patrick has nailed his flag to her mast!

Imagine how much better the world would be if it's governments were entirely populated with the likes of Wong, Gallagher, Hanson-Young, Thorpe and Lambie. Such jewels.

Imagine if the Gov did this "gone through its 70+ pages with my team, talked to folks on all sides, and the message..."

I think (not sure) Albo and the Labour don't like it either, but this comes from somewhere else as it is global and he is not courageous :)

I wonder if this originates from some of the USA labs :) or something somewhere else (from monkeys to people lol).

To be fair, the government did consult extensively. They appear to really think it's a good idea.

Appear, yeah. :)

Tell me where I am wrong even though I am speculating? See the following line of thought:

These days and the past ten or so years are so much about signalling. When one reads what they propose, well, I don't think it makes sense to exclude the mainstream media and the gov. It's unfair, unbalanced and plain silly.

If Labour votes all in unison, well, it means it is a top down order.

More broadly, I've been trying to put myself in his shoes: imagining Albo and the leadership (and myself) saying no to USA or some other global forces. Hard to do it, fear and all that, unless he is courageous. He's been waiting for PM position and I don't know if he is willing to put that on the line.

Thanks to you and Alison Bevege, both for your journalism and encouragement, I contacted my political party for the first time in my life.

I know, embarrassing right?! But it will not be the last! Thanks for giving me a sense of agency.

Keep up the great work!!
